Oats, an easy breakfast option or pick-me up during the day.  The best thing about overnight oats is how they can be customized to your mood, to the season or to what you currently have on-hand!

In a mason jar, add:
– 1/2 cup of oats (I use gluten free oats)
– 2/3 cup non dairy milk (I rotate between almond, cashew and coconut)
– 1/3 cup yogurt (if you are not dairy free)
– 2 tablespoons chia seeds
– a pinch of cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup to sweeten

Put a lid on the jar, shake it up and put in the fridge overnight (or at least for 4 hours)
In the morning, you can add fresh fruit, nuts and seeds – my current favourite fruits to add are blackberries, blueberries, raspberries or peaches.
